Underpinning all D&AD activities is a fundamental belief that it is the responsibility of industry and professional creatives to help nurture the next creative generation. Each year D&AD invest more than £2million into running ambitious and influential education programmes that yield real and manifold benefits for industry and practitioners, for students and for tutors and course leaders.
The D&AD Education Programmes have four aims.
The D&AD Universities & Colleges Programme aims to support appropriate colleges and universities and provide them with resources and connections with industry. It does this through the following activities:
The D&AD Student and Postgraduate and Graduating Creatives Programmes aim to help industry identify talented students and graduates and provide pathways into employment. They provide the following activities:
The D&AD CPD Programme aims to assist creative practitioners in their continuous professional development. The programme includes:
The D&AD Secondary Schools Programme is the fourth and newest focus. Its aim is to nurture and encourage creativity at a younger age to ensure pupils from diverse backgrounds consider a creative career and are aware of the opportunities available to them. It has two elements:
