Founding director of Nick Bell Design, established in 1988, Nick Bell has won 3 Yellow Pencils in the last 5 years. Emigre devoted an entire issue to his work and teaching when he was only four years into his career.

From 1997 to 2005, Nick was creative director of Eye and was a signatory of the ‘First Things First’ manifesto.

Nick has been a frequent collaborator with Casson Mann, most notably on the Churchill Museum and Sellafield Visitors Centre.

He has designed books on the architect Louis Kahn and photographer Martin Parr, with clients including the Imperial War Museum, V&A, Great North Museum, Welcome Trust, Manchester United and a Russian property developer.

Nick designed the book and touring exhibition ‘Communicate; Independent British Graphic Design since the Sixties’ in which his work was featured. He has lectured in Europe, the US, China and India.

Bell will be talking about his work and influences.
