In 1962, a group of designers and advertising art directors working in London joined forces to create a new organisation, (D&AD) British Design & Art Direction. Their aim was to raise the profile of creative communication. Since then, D&AD has grown in influence and its annual awards scheme would become an international barometer of changing trends. The exhibition illustrated Award-winning work from D&AD 1963-2002, rewinding across four decades to chart developments in design and advertising through a wide range of disciplines. Rewind not only demonstrated how radically Britain's communication industry had changed in those 40 years from small, tight-knit community to a global brand-driving business.
